Orthopedic surgeons offer a series of sessions on Wednesdays April 29 - June 3

Spring is the time to dust off the sports gear and get ready for the game face.

To ensure the bones and joints are ready as well, Munson Medical Center orthopedic surgeons are offering a series of free sessions at the Grand Traverse Bay YMCA from noon -1 pm each Wednesday, April 29 - June 3.

Jack Reineck, M.D., will speak on “Stop Shouldering Pain” on April 29. The presentation will include new treatment options and surgical techniques available to help active people regain their range of motion and shoulder strength.

After his talk, attendees are invited to tour the new Grand Traverse Bay YMCA facility. Other topics for the series include:

  • Brian Kerr, M.D., on May 6, addressing knee issues for the masters athlete.
  • Thomas O’Hagan, M.D., on May 13 addressing sports injuries.
  • Brent M. Wiersema, D.O., on May 20, addressing hip issues and arthritis.
  • Todd Galdes, D.O., on May 27, addressing arthritis solutions.
  • Vince Prusick, M.D., on June 3, addressing back and spine pain.
