FAQs (Click or Tap to Open):

Is bladder leakage a normal part of aging?

While bladder leakage becomes more common with age, it is not something you simply have to live with. Many effective treatment options are available.

I've had children. Is pelvic pressure or leakage just something I should expect?

Pregnancy and childbirth can contribute to pelvic floor disorders, but persistent symptoms should not be ignored. A specialist can help determine the cause and recommend treatment options.

Is it worth seeking treatment if I've had symptoms for years?

Yes. Many women delay seeking care because symptoms develop gradually or seem like a normal part of aging. Even long-standing symptoms can often be improved with treatment.

What is pelvic organ prolapse?

Pelvic organ prolapse occurs when weakened pelvic floor muscles allow one or more pelvic organs to shift from their normal position, creating pressure, discomfort, or a noticeable bulge.

Will I need surgery?

Many women improve with pelvic floor therapy, lifestyle modifications, or other nonsurgical treatments. Surgery is recommended only when it is the most appropriate option for your condition.
