Teaching and Precepting
The PGY2 Oncology Pharmacy Residency offers a variety of opportunities to develop teaching and precepting skills. Residents actively participate in the education and mentorship of PGY1 pharmacy residents and fourth-year Doctor of Pharmacy students during their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs). Through these experiences, residents strengthen their abilities to provide clinical instruction, facilitate discussions, deliver feedback, and support learner development in a patient-centered oncology practice setting.
For residents interested in academia, opportunities exist to participate in didactic lectures and active learning activities within a pharmacy student classroom. These experiences allow residents to explore and develop their interests in pharmacy education and academic practice.
