Pharmacy Operations (Staffing)
The PGY-2 resident is expected to provide an average of 10 to 20 hours of staffing every 4 to 6 weeks, totaling a minimum of 18 full staffing shifts throughout the residency year. One full staffing shift is 10 hours. Staffing responsibilities will primarily involve reviewing and dispensing of all agents in the infusion pharmacy at Cowell Family Cancer Center. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to clinical reviews, technician supervision, and preparation of charts and resolution of clinical issues for the current or future clinic days.
Staffing shifts will primarily occur on weekdays, consistent with infusion center operating hours. Multi-day staffing may also occur during winter and spring break periods to support departmental needs. There is no on-call staffing requirement.
