Part of Munson Healthcare’s success is an award-winning heart program with specialty clinics in 10 locations, including the Webber Heart Center at Munson Medical Center, northern Michigan’s regional referral center. With 127 beds, the Webber Heart Center provides inpatient services for more than 8,200 heart patients every year.
In order for our nationally recognized heart team to provide top-quality services, technology and equipment must be continually upgraded and replaced. This provides physicians with the most accurate information they need to treat their patients.

Expanding Heart Care Programs and Services
Munson Healthcare currently provides 49,000 patient visits at 10 Traverse Heart & Vascular clinics throughout northern Michigan. Over 40% of all heart patient visits are done in local communities, which saves patients over two million miles of driving to-and-from Traverse City (equal to 81 laps around the Earth)!
We need well-equipped outpatient clinics close to each local Munson Healthcare community hospital to offer this care. These sites give patients and physicians seamless service integration to the Webber Heart Center in Traverse City.
To maintain this vision, funding is required for building renovations and upgraded hospital diagnostic equipment and technology. The work to enhance these services began in 2016, thanks to generous community support, and remains ongoing.
