Enhanced Cancer Care for Our Region The Cowell Family Cancer Center, which opened in 2016, serves individuals living within a 24-county area of northern lower Michigan. Patients, families, and providers benefit from the expertise of the staff, the support services, and the advanced technologies available at our center. The estimated $3.9 million improvements to cancer care will include meeting ongoing needs for programs and services such as financial assistance to patients, advanced technologies, and new software.
