Munson Healthcare Cerner Patient Portal Upgrades
The Cerner MyHealthInfo patient portal is getting a facelift! Beginning June 14, this portal will feature an enhanced interface with a new look. The change will be seamless to the user, and patients will use their existing credentials to access their portals. Patients will also have the option to enroll in text notifications when they have new information in their portal (e.g. lab results, after-visit summaries). The first time a patient logs into their portal after the upgrade, they will be prompted to select their notification preferences – either email, text, or portal app notifications

New Training Requirement for DEA License Renewal
Prescriptions for buprenorphine now only require a standard DEA registration number. The x-waiver is no longer required for any prescriber to treat patients with buprenorphine for opioid use disorder. The Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act, as of June 27, 2023, requires most licensed prescribers who are either renewing or applying for a new controlled substance DEA license to have completed at least 8 hours of opioid or other substance use disorders (SUD) training.
