Great Equipment

We serve Benzie County residents with great fitness equipment you’ll love to use – Cybex circuit equipment, Landice cardio, and a well-stocked free-weight room. Whether you're curling, pressing, benching or squatting, you'll find lots of ways to give your muscles the workout they need.

We also have a basketball court, racquetball court, aerobic room, and much more.

Exercise with Friendly Instructors

Our experienced, skilled instructors love what they do and want to help you achieve fitness and health. They will teach, encourage, and support you every step of the way. Our exercise specialists are trained and certified in many specialty areas.

Free Training for New Members

We offer a one-time free group training time with a certified personal trainer to show anyone new to the fitness center how to safely and properly use all of the fitness equipment. Are you feeling unsure where to get started? Don’t want to aggravate an old injury? Want tips on an individualized strength-training program? Stop by the fitness center front desk for personal training times. Registration is required one day prior to training.

Private personal trainers use the Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center to work with their clients.

Reserve a Court

Members and walk-ins are welcome to use basketball and racquetball courts when they are not in use for a class. Reservations are not necessary, but if you want to guarantee it will be available, please call 231-352-9661 to reserve the space.

Massage Therapy

Dedicated therapeutic massage therapists offer private massage therapy at the Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center. Massage therapy is individualized to meet your needs, with personal attention given to each client regarding safety, personal boundaries, and privacy. Appointments are available Monday through Saturday.

Pilates Reformer Personal Training

Reformer training accommodates a full-range of motion to improve flexibility, target your core, and build strength. It is an intense version of mat Pilates and can help strengthen your core, improve balance, flexibility, and endurance. Certified Pilates Reformer specialists are available to offer individualized reformer training sessions. Call 231-399-0129 for an appointment.

Rent a Room  

The Betsie Hosick Health and Fitness Center, a Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital (POMH) facility, is committed to helping you achieve your wellness goals and is pleased to rent rooms for community programming and activities. Room rentals are reserved for, but not limited to, community educational or skill building programming, fitness classes, personal training, wellness events, and support groups that support the health care mission of POMH.
