Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Kevin McDowell, Psy.D., to the Comprehensive Pain Management Program, located at 550 Munson Avenue in Traverse City.
A Michigan native, Dr. McDowell was raised in Marion. Dr. McDowell graduated from Florida School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. He then continued with his fellowship in health psychology and pain management at University of South Florida.
He chose to practice psychology because he is fascinated by the unique qualities of individuals and wants to empower patients to live a life that fits their values. In his practice, he uses evidence-based methods and understanding to help people manage their pain.
“I enjoy helping people make changes they have been struggling to make and I enjoy working with underserved populations,” Dr. McDowell said.
Dr. McDowell is married with one child. In his free time, he enjoys foraging for mushrooms, reading, kayaking, and camping.
