At Munson Healthcare, the security, privacy, and accuracy of patient information is of the utmost importance. We have recently identified and addressed an issue that may have resulted in one or more of your Munson patient bills being sent to the wrong person.

What Happened
On January 25, 2025, as part of moving patient information to a new computer system, the person listed to pay the bill (like a parent or spouse) was accidentally changed back to someone who used to be responsible. Because of this, some bills were sent to the wrong person.

What Information was Involved
Patient name, location of services, balance owed, insurance type, basic type of service i.e., primary care.

What We Are Doing
We learned of this issue on June 2, 2025. Upon learning of this issue, we immediately commenced a prompt and thorough investigation, identified the root cause, and identified individuals impacted and began to correct the errors in our data. A technical fix was implemented on June 24, 2025, to ensure patient bills were only sent to the correct individuals.

What You Can Do
Review bills received from Munson after January 25, 2025, to ensure that the patient guarantor and billing address information is accurate. If you see errors, please contact us at 231-935-6080 for services at physician offices or 844-467-5545 for services at the Hospitals.
