Hospice care is provided in the patient's home or at the eight-bed Hospice House on the Munson Medical Center campus in Traverse City. Immediate Needs for Hospice
Each year, more than $300,000 is needed to support Munson Healthcare Hospice’s immediate needs. These funds help balance operational budgets for hospice programs, bereavement services, and the Hospice House.

Munson Healthcare Hospice is committed to providing compassionate end-of-life care throughout northern Michigan, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. Donor support makes this possible.
Hospice House
This beautiful eight-bedroom home is nestled in a quiet, wooded area near Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. The house is designed to meet the needs of patients, with the intention of keeping family members connected to one another physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Like any home, maintenance and upkeep are essential.
Bereavement Services and Education
Bereavement Services and Education Programs make a meaningful impact in our community. Life's final journey is often filled with sadness and confusion for loved ones. The expansion of bereavement services, such as grief support groups, would not be possible without the generosity of community members.
Palliative Care
Munson Healthcare’s Palliative Care team supports patients experiencing the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. No matter a patient’s age or stage in their treatment, this team offers medical management for pain and other debilitating symptoms. Palliative services also include counseling and spiritual guidance, help with decision-making, financial information, and more.
Your support of these services enables Munson Healthcare Palliative Care to assist patients from the beginning of a diagnosis throughout illness and treatment.
