Support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Expansion at Munson Medical Center
Thanks to generous support from our community, Munson Healthcare is investing $35 million into a new Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that will feature a thoughtful mix of specialized spaces for enhanced patient care. This facility will bring comfort and efficiency together in ways our current footprint simply cannot.
Project Details
- 22,000 square foot facility
- Dedicated exam and treatment room
- 24 rooms, including several larger couplet and twin rooms, all featuring natural light and expanded space for equipment
- Separate ambulance entrance for mothers to visit with their babies before transfer to the NICU
- Infant feeding lab for precise, safe milk fortification
- Family lounge with a kitchenette, restroom, and shower
- Staff lounge and locker rooms
- Restorative outdoor patio and garden
Construction is expected to begin in spring 2026 and will take approximately 18 months to complete. We anticipate the new facility will be open for patients by early 2028.
