Munson Healthcare Support Groups

Munson Healthcare offers several groups to support individuals coping with cancer. 


Come Together Cancer Support Group  

Couple embracingThe mission of the support group is to provide a safe space to connect with others coping with cancer and is led by our Nurse Navigator & Oncology Social Worker. Patients will receive emotional support, education, and practical guidance.

Meeting details: First and Third Monday of each month, 5 - 6:30 pm, Cowell Family Cancer Center, 3rd-Floor Conference Room 3002, provided in-person and virtually (contact the facilitator for the virtual link).

Facilitators:

Registration is not required. The virtual link will be sent to participants prior to each session. Please contact the facilitators if you are new to the group and would like to participate remotely.  

Note: During severe weather, the group will meet virtually only. If a holiday falls on the day of a support group, the group will not meet.


Breast Cancer Support Group 

Two women wearing pink and embracingThe mission of the support group is to provide a safe space to connect with others coping with breast cancer and is led by our breast cancer Nurse Navigator and Oncology Social Worker. Patients will receive emotional support, education, and practical guidance.

Meeting details: Second Tuesday of each month, 5 - 6:30 pm, Cowell Family Cancer Center, 3rd-Floor Conference Room 3002, provided in-person and virtually (contact the facilitator for the virtual link).

Gynecological Cancer Support Group

Patients will receive emotional support, education, and practical guidance.

Meeting details: First Tuesday of each month, 4 - 5 pm, Cowell Family Cancer Center, 3rd-Floor Conference Room 3002, provided in-person and virtually (contact the facilitator for the virtual link).

Us Too, Prostate Cancer Support Group (Traverse City)

Meeting details: Last Tuesday of each month, 5:30 - 7 pm, provided in-person and virtually (contact facilitator for the virtual link or location information).

  • May - September: Bonatic Garden Pavilion Historic Barns Park, 1490 Red Dr., Traverse City
  • October - April: Foster Family Community Health Center Conference Room A/B, 550 Munson Ave., Traverse City
