High-Sensitivity Troponin Lab Test to be Implemented in April 2022
Munson Healthcare will be transitioning to a state-of-the-art high-sensitivity troponin assay in April 2022. The high-sensitivity troponin (hs-TnI) assay will replace our current troponin lab series beginning April 12, 2022. Chest pain is one of the most frequent reasons patients present to the Emergency Department. The evaluation often involves a significant length of time after which 80-90% of cases are ultimately found not to have a myocardial infarction (MI). Munson Healthcare Expands Access to COVID-19 Testing
Munson Healthcare is taking steps to expand COVID-19 testing options in its communities by offering PCR COVID-19 testing in Traverse City and rapid antigen testing kits at several health system pharmacies. Under a partnership with LabCorp, the health system is now offering PCR COVID-19 testing services at its Foster Family Community Health Center Library. “This is a convenient option for someone who is asymptomatic, but may need a test for travel, sports, or work,” said Casey Kandow, Munson Healthcare vice president of Ancillary Services. “With this option, an asymptomatic individual wouldn’t
