As part of our Cerner Ambulatory implementation project, three additional Munson Healthcare practices have been integrated into our electronic health record (EHR) system: Munson Healthcare Cadillac Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic Surgeons of Grand Traverse, and Munson Healthcare Maternal Fetal Medicine.
Why the change:
- The move to Cerner Ambulatory is part of our journey to a common technology platform across the Munson Healthcare system, which supports our strategic goal to Inform Decision Making.
- Cerner Ambulatory also improves workflows by making patient data more accessible and supports the meaningful use of data collected across the organization.
Benefits include:
- A streamlined referral management system that aligns with Munson Healthcare
- Electronic Patient Portal – HealtheLife
- Better continuity of care by ease of communications between patient providers
- Safer medication management between inpatient and outpatient visits, as well as between providers
- Better multi-disciplinary team coordination across Munson Healthcare via ease of access to patient record information
- Automatic transmission of CCD
- Faster report distribution to patient care team
