COVID-19 Positive Patients Can Now Self-Refer for Monoclonal Antibody Therapy

Last week we communicated a simplified referral process to the Munson Healthcare Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Therapy program so that providers could very easily refer qualifying COVID-19 positive patients for treatment. Referral resources are available on our COVID-19 For Providers website.

In addition, the mAb team has developed community education to allow patients to call and request an evaluation for mAb therapy themselves, which will be communicated to our partners and area pharmacies.

Key Points

• We have launched a new Monoclonal Antibody Therapy webpage for patients: munsonhealthcare.org/antibodytherapy
• Patients are directed to call their primary care provider or Munson Healthcare Ask-a-Nurse (231-935-0951) to discuss treatment options.
• Ask-a-Nurse will help to identify eligible patients and our mAB support line nurse will answer any questions.
• This change allows us to reach some of our more vulnerable patients who may not have a relationship with a primary care provider but would benefit from mAb therapy.
