In addition to Cepheid and Abbott, Munson Healthcare is launching a third in-house COVID-19 testing platform, Hologic Panther, at Munson Medical Center on Monday, April 5.
We will begin to transition non pre-procedure COVID-19 testing (symptomatic and asymptomatic) from outside laboratories to Hologic Panther starting Monday, April 5. Pre-procedure COVID-19 testing will continue to be sent to outside laboratories (Spectrum, MI Health). Hologic Panther has an approximate turnaround time of 24 hours.
We will continue to monitor our testing supplies and capacity, and will make changes as necessary.
