In response to provider feedback, providers do NOT need to obtain consent and treatment authorization or send an order when referring a qualifying patient for Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Therapy. Munson Healthcare has hired a nurse practitioner and nurse to join the mAb Support Line. Our team will obtain consent and treatment authorization, create an order, and work directly with the patient to schedule. Referring providers now only need to determine that the patient qualifies and fax one form, the mAb Patient Pre-Screening and Referral Checklist, to the MHC mAb Support Line.

The one-time mAb infusion therapy is available for providers to refer their qualifying high-risk COVID-19 positive outpatients, and we currently have many openings available.

A reminder that the FDA has expanded the criteria for referring a patient to Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Therapy, allowing for more provider discretion.
