Drs. Shurlow, Harden, and Reynolds Named Master Surgeons in Robotic Surgery
General surgeons, Drs. James Shurlow, Lindsay Harden, and Paul Reynolds recently achieved accreditation from Surgical Review Corporation (SRC) as Master Surgeons in Robotic Surgery. This accreditation recognizes their commitment to a high standard of delivering quality patient care and safety.
Status as an SRC-accredited Master Surgeon means that Drs. Shurlow, Harden, and Reynolds have met nationally and internationally recognized standards. While not all surgeons pursue this accreditation, among those who do - not all meet the rigorous qualifications required to earn it.

Additionally, in 2022, Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital achieved accreditation as a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, recognized for providing the highest quality of care and patient safety by the SRC.
Surgeons seeking an SRC accreditation undergo an extensive assessment and inspection process to ensure the applicant meets SRC’s standards and requirements. These requirements include surgical volumes, facility equipment, clinical pathways and standardized operating procedures, an emphasis on patient education, and continuous quality assessment. Inspectors also educate staff in the accredited departments on best practices to help an organization improve its care and services.

All three master surgeons perform their robotic surgeries at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord. Dr. Reynolds sees patients in Grayling, and Drs. Shurlow and Harden have an office in Gaylord.
