Life-Saving Aneurysm Surgical Repair

Joan Gamache of Manistee calls her fall a blessing.

It was a typical summer morning for Joan and her husband Scott. They were enjoying their morning coffee on the couple’s outdoor patio. But when Joan walked back in the house, she tripped on the door frame and hit her head on a large oak coffee table. The trip to Munson Healthcare Manistee Hospital revealed no concussion. However, radiologists did discover something else: one of the largest unruptured aneurysms in the state of Michigan.

Watch Joan’s story to learn how Gary Rajah, MD, and the team at Munson Healthcare’s Stroke Center were able to repair Joan’s aneurysm using a successful clipping procedure.
