Munson Healthcare Cancer Drug Repository Program
What is a cancer drug repository?
Some patients have a difficult time getting the medicines they need to treat cancer. To help these patients, medicines that are no longer needed can be donated to a cancer drug repository. The repository works to get these medicines in the hands of patients who need them, free of charge.
How are medicines donated to the repository?
Anyone can donate medicines to the repository if the medications are:
- Used to treat cancer or the side effects of cancer or chemotherapy
- Unopened and sealed in the original packaging from the manufacturer
- Not expired
If you would like to donate, please bring medications to any Munson oncology clinic.
How are medicines dispensed to patients?
Patients may be eligible to receive medicines from the repository if they:
- Have been diagnosed with cancer
- Are a State of Michigan resident
- Are struggling to access the prescriptions prescribed by their oncologist
Eligible patients should talk to their Munson Healthcare oncology team to see if their prescriptions are available at the repository.
