Office Information and Appointments

Our dedicated and caring staff looks forward to providing you with quality oncology and hematology care. Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to your actual appointment time so our staff can prepare your paperwork for our physicians and nurses. You are asked to bring insurance cards, including prescription benefit card, all bottled medications, and any x-rays or scans from the past year if they were done at a non-Munson facility.

When and Who to Call

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest Emergency Department.

When to Call Your Nurse:

  • All clinical questions
  • You’re not feeling well
  • You have a fever
  • You want the results of a test
  • To discuss next steps in your treatment

If you are experiencing a medical emergency after business hours or on holidays, please call the Munson Healthcare Operator at 800-468-6766, and ask to have the oncologist on call paged. Be sure to provide the name of your oncologist. A Munson oncologist is on call at all times.

Reminders for Each Visit

  • To ensure that we can provide safe and efficient care, please have your labs drawn 24-48 hours prior to any chemotherapy appointment.
  • Bring your notebook, your photo ID, your insurance cards, a complete list of current medications, and any forms that need to be signed. You might also want to bring a book, audio equipment, or laptop.
  • If you think you may need pain medication or a snack during your visit, bring it with you.
  • Bring a written list of your questions and concerns.
  • Tell your provider about any changes or new symptoms.
  • Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
  • Children under the age of 18 are not allowed in any patient care area.
  • Do not bring anyone with you who is ill.

Missed and Late Appointments

We ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance if you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. This allows us time to offer your appointment to other patients. If you are more than 15 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. If you are a new patient and need to change your consultation appointment, additional time may be required to reschedule.

Walk-In Visits

Because of our busy physician and nurse schedules, we are unable to accommodate walk-in visits. We request that patients refrain from coming to the office asking to be seen by a physician or primary nurse without a scheduled appointment. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please go to the ER.

Insurance

Our office participates with most insurance companies.

All co-pays and deductibles may be expected at the time of service. We accept check, debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
