MHC Partners with LabCorp for Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Option
In an effort to increase community access to COVID-19 testing, MHC has partnered with LabCorp and will be offering PCR COVID-19 testing services at Foster Family Community Health Center (FFCHC) Library starting Oct. 21. “This is a convenient option for someone who is asymptomatic, but may need a test for travel, sports, or work,” said Casey Kandow, System VP of Ancillary Services. “With this option, an asymptomatic individual wouldn’t need to step inside a clinic, where many of our symptomatic patients are going, to get tested.” Who: Individuals who do not have COVID-19 symptoms (this is not

Scheduling Screening Mammography After COVID-19 Vaccination or Booster
Although all vaccines can result in temporary lymphadenopathy, it is recommended that screening mammography not be delayed after COVID-19 vaccination or booster. Our goal is to not delay neither patient access to COVID-19 vaccine nor early detection of breast cancer using screening mammography, while keeping in mind patient inconvenience and additional costs and resources caused by follow up imaging triggered by unilateral reactive adenopathy seen on a mammogram.
