New Visitation Policy/MHC Moves to Pandemic Stage “Yellow”

- We have changed our Visitation Policy to allow for more visitation.
- Our Universal Masking policy remains in place in all clinical locations. In addition to our pandemic level, we are still following MIOSHA rules regarding masking and the CDC guidelines still call for masking in healthcare settings.

Simplified Monoclonal Antibody Therapy Referral Process
|
- In response to provider feedback, providers do NOT need to obtain consent and treatment authorization or send an order when referring a qualifying patient for Monoclonal Antibody (mAb) Therapy starting 6.1.21 at 8 am.
- MHC has hired a nurse practitioner and nurse to join the mAb Support Line. Our team will obtain consent and treatment authorization, create an order, and work directly with the patient to schedule. Referring providers now only need to determine that the patient qualifies and fax one form, the mAb Pre-Screening and Referral Checklist, to the MHC mAb Support Line.

COVID-19 Virtual Clinic Closing May 28/Continue to Screen for COVID-19
|
- As the demand for COVID-19 testing has decreased and the availability of rapid testing options in our communities has expanded, we will be closing the COVID-19 Virtual Clinic as of Friday, May 28.
- A reminder that the Healthcare Team should continue to do daily self-screening either using the mobile self-screening tool or in-person screening, whether vaccinated for COVID-19 or not. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms:
- Employed providers: Call your Employee Health Office and EH will help determine if testing is needed and provide local rapid testing options.
- Independent providers: Please contact your PCP to get tested, either through that office, your local HD, or a COVID-19 collection location.
- Providers should inform their CMO if they test positive for COVID-19.
