Family Dinner Volunteer Program at Munson Manor

Munson Manor guests are away from home, apart from family and friends, in an unfamiliar community during a stressful time in their lives. A home-cooked meal served with a warm smile provides tremendous comfort. Individuals or groups from the community are invited to provide a meal for Munson Manor guests.

Munson Manor is in search of volunteers to assist them with their Family Dinner Volunteer Program. This program supports families staying at the Manor while they’re supporting a seriously ill or injured loved one. All you have to do is prepare and share a hot, home-cooked meal with them at the end of their day.

How the Family Dinner Program Works

The Family Dinner program relies on volunteers to help supply dinners for 20-25 people from Sunday-Thursday. Individuals and groups can volunteer to make a comforting meal for people who are away from home, family and friends during a stressful time in their lives.

Munson Manor has a large, well-stocked kitchen available, so if you can cook, you’re invited to share your culinary talents and a smile with the Manor’s guests! Recommended menus include soups, salads, stews, pasta dishes like lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs, casseroles, and other crowd-friendly dishes. (Desserts are always welcome as well.)
