Munson Healthcare Patient Needs

The Patient Needs Fund provides financial assistance for the urgent needs of patients during a health-related crisis. Help provided through this fund includes assistance with groceries, medications, rent or mortgage payments, utilities, and transportation expenses. This fund supports patients across northern Michigan at every Munson Healthcare hospital.

Munson Healthcare Hospice

Donor support keeps Munson Healthcare Hospice strong and helps provide compassionate end-of-life care to those in need, regardless of the patient’s ability to pay. A donation to Hospice also supports bereavement services including grief support groups, as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the Hospice House in Traverse City.

Cadillac Hospital - Urology Laser

To keep pace with the latest advancements in healthcare, Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital must regularly update and replace its medical technology, purchase new equipment, and update facilities. As Cadillac Hospital continues to grow, so does our need for a new urology laser. Investing in this equipment enables us to secure safe, high-quality healthcare for future generations to come.

Charlevoix Hospital - Cardiac Monitoring Equipment

Vital equipment and advanced medical technology remain necessary purchases for Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital. When you make a gift to Charlevoix Hospital on Giving Tuesday, you are supporting the purchase of new cardiac monitoring equipment. Bringing innovative equipment and technology like this to Charlevoix Hospital enables us to enhance top-quality care for northern Michigan patients and their families.

Grayling Hospital - HD Monitors

Minimally invasive surgery has become the preferred method for patients and surgeons alike, but it comes with a drawback: visibility. Donations to Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital on Giving Tuesday will help with the purchase of 4K high-definition video monitors – the most advanced operating room monitor displays. Improved visibility as a result of these monitors ensures the most precise, accurate surgical procedures for patients at Grayling Hospital.

Manistee Hospital – ENT Navigation System

An ENT Navigation Systems allows for the safest, most precise nasal endoscopy procedures for patients in the Manistee region. However, the current equipment at Manistee Hospital is nearing the end of its working life. Your gift to Manistee Hospital makes it possible to invest in the state-of-the-art equipment needed to keep patients and procedures local.

Munson Medical Center - Interventional Stroke Program

Northern Michigan has higher-than-average stroke rates, which is why Munson Medical Center launched an interventional stroke program in October 2020. Equipped with a skilled endovascular neurosurgeon and two biplane imaging machines, patients now have timely access to interventional stroke care in our community. Your gift to the stroke program will ensure residents and visitors to northern Michigan can continue receiving the best possible stroke and neurovascular care year-round.

Otsego Memorial Hospital – Stereotactic Table

At Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital, community support is needed to keep pace with the rapid advancement of medical technology and equipment. Your support on Giving Tuesday will make it possible for Otsego Memorial Hospital to purchase a new 3-D stereotactic breast biopsy table, which allows for faster diagnosis and more comfortable procedures for patients. This will ultimately save more lives and allow Otsego Memorial Hospital to continue providing the right care in the right place.

Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital – Surgical Equipment

The future of healthcare is constantly changing, which is why we're committed to expanding the healthcare services available in Benzie County. With the opening of the new Munson Healthcare Frankfort Specialty Clinics, Munson Healthcare Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital expects to see an increase in the number of surgeries performed. Investing in state-of-the-art surgical equipment will help keep procedures local for thousands of patients each year.
