Remembering Katie Fouch
Katie Fouch was a beloved daughter, friend, and Munson Medical Center employee. She graduated from Traverse City Central High School before pursuing a career in medical lab sciences at Ferris State University.
Her love for this work brought her to Munson Medical Center, where she quickly discovered that one of her favorite places to work was the blood bank. She was an avid blood and plasma donor, passionate about spreading awareness.
On August 23, 2020, Katie passed away - just three days after her 29th birthday - after battling Peritoneal Mesothelioma Cancer. Katie was a bright and kind soul who was taken too soon.
Honor Katie Today
Each year Katie's family tries to find ways to honor Katie and her memory, while showing how loved and missed she is. They knew Katie would want to help educate others about the national blood shortage and the importance of being a donor.
