What brought you to Munson Healthcare?
After completing my college internship at Cadillac Hospital, I started working there the next day after graduation. The culture of our organization, the mentors in my internship, and helping our community made it an easy decision to stay.
What has living and working during a pandemic taught you?
The importance of self-care. When we first care for ourselves, we are stronger, more resilient, and able to care for others.
What do you love most about your work?
Being a champion of patient safety by ensuring quality patient care through the credentialing and privileging of healthcare providers to ensure we are onboarding and connecting qualified providers with patients.
What do you think is most beneficial about the recent regionalization of the Medical Staff Office (MSO) role?
Standardizing processes and collaborating closely with other MSOs has been very beneficial to all our community hospitals. We have already made great progress on processes and standards during this short time, and I am excited for future of this role.
How would you describe the people of Munson Healthcare?
Committed. The people of Munson Healthcare have shown they are committed in providing the best health care to our communities.
What are you most passionate about outside of work?
My family, friends, and dog.
What might we be surprised to learn about you?
Although I enjoy many genres of music, you will often find me at metal concerts, and I have big collection of concert t-shirts.
What is your favorite piece of advice to give friends and colleagues?
Never give up. A little progress each day adds up to big results over time.
