No Change to Munson’s Return-to-Work Policy Following COVID-19 Diagnosis
03.21.2024

Although the CDC recently released updated respiratory virus guidance for community settings, MHC has NOT changed our Return-to-Work policy following a COVID-19 diagnosis. As the CDC has NOT changed its guidance for healthcare workers and to prevent exposure to our most vulnerable patients, MHC’s Clinical Leadership Council (CLC) recommends staying with our current guidelines following a COVID-19 diagnosis.

Munson Healthcare Team Return-to-Work Policy

  • If a Healthcare Team member tests positive for COVID-19, they are excluded from work for 5 days from symptom onset and 24 hours fever-free without the use of antipyretics and improvement in symptoms.

  • If symptoms have improved on day 5, the team member may return to work on day 6 but must mask at all times from day 6 through day 10 while at work, maintain social distancing, and be in an isolated area separate from others when removing mask to eat or drink.
