Munson Medical Center is expanding its child care program in Traverse City and will be opening an additional child care location near the Munson Medical Center campus.
The current child care location at the hospital will remain open and will continue to serve Munson Healthcare families.
“Munson Medical Center has been looking for the right opportunity to expand its child care services,” said Brigid Wilson, manager of Children’s Educational Services. “By expanding our offerings, we'll not only be able to better serve our health care team, but we hope it will in turn free up spots with other child care providers in the community to help address local needs.”
The new facility will provide spots for up to 110 children, starting with those who are currently on the waiting list. Child care services are open to Munson Healthcare employees and employed providers.
The new facility is expected to open in January 2020.
