Visitor Information for Munson Medical Center

Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern. In order to provide a restful and secure environment for our patients, we ask that all visitors observe our established visitation hours.

Visiting Hours

Visiting hours at Munson Medical Center are from 6 am - 9 pm. Munson Medical Center’s main entrance is locked at 9 pm.

Overnight stays by a support person are allowed in Maternity, NICU, and Pediatrics. Accommodations on other units will be made on a patient-by-patient basis by the charge nurse. Patient rest is an important part of the healing process. Please consider this as you plan your visit.

Guidelines for Visitors

General guidelines for visitors are as follows:

  • People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
  • Visits should be kept short.
  • Visitors may not smoke in patient rooms, anywhere in the hospital, or on the hospital campus.
  • Visitors must dress appropriately, and must wear shirts and shoes.
  • Visitors in semi-private rooms should be considerate of both patients, and maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
  • Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments, or when the physician or nurse needs to see the patient.

Thank you for helping us provide a safe, private, quiet, healing environment for all of our patients.
