Most lab tests do not require an appointment. You can simply walk into the lab location nearest you and have your blood drawn or drop off your specimen. Some advanced tests, such as genetic testing, require pre-authorization from your insurance company. If you are unsure, check with your insurance company before you have your test.

Outpatient Laboratory Self-Scheduling - Participating Locations
Munson Healthcare is excited to offer patients the opportunity to self-schedule outpatient lab service appointments at the facilities below.
Online self-scheduling allows you to book appointments at your convenience. This option also helps laboratory staff prepare in advance for your visit and reduce wait times.
A valid email address is required to schedule your appointment. Please schedule 2-3 weeks in advance of your desired appointment date/time for best availability:
What to Bring
- A picture ID
- A copy of your lab order if your physician provided you with one

Please contact your service location or Munson Healthcare Outpatient Laboratory Central Scheduling at 231-392-7891. A service representative will help book your appointment and send you a detailed confirmation email. Schedulers are available Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm.
COVID-19 Testing Locations for Pre-Procedural Patients and Individuals Who Are Asymptomatic

Pre-Procedural/Pre-Surgical and Asymptomatic Testing can be completed at specified Munson Healthcare Laboratory locations. Please note the following before visiting:
- Your doctor or specialist will notify you if testing is required.
- All COVID-19 tests require a licensed physician or advanced practice provider order.
- Pre-procedural COVID-19 testing should be completed three days before the scheduled procedure.
- After COVID-19 testing is complete, pre-procedural patients should self-quarantine until procedure day.

- Please note that symptomatic patients should be using the curbside pick-up option for retrieving their kits. They will need to call the pharmacy in advance and supply needed patient and payment information prior to pick-up.
